Growing number of registrants, upward trend in the number of renewals, the highest number of concluded option agreements for 8 years

The .pl domain registry has been continuously gaining new registrants for over a year - in the third quarter their number increased by 2 868 and totalled 1 119 002.

An upward trend in the number of renewed domain names was also maintained in the discussed period. 20 268 more names were renewed for the next billing period than in the second quarter of 2022.

Since the beginning of 2022, there has been an increasing interest in buying the priority to register a domain name after it has been released by the current registrant, i.e. in concluding an option agreement. The number of options increased by 1 396 as compared to the second quarter. From the beginning of July to the end of September 2022, 5 263 option agreements for .pl domain name registration were concluded.
