With over 2.52 million names in the .pl domain registry, registrants are more likely to register names in regional and functional domains

At the end of the second quarter of 2022, the total number of .pl domain name registrants amounted to 1 116 134 - increased by 1 019 compared to the previous quarter. The registrants registered 158 605 new names. The upward trend was also visible in the interest in renewing domain names for the consecutive years. In the second quarter, the renewal rate was 73.96%. This is the highest value in almost 14 years.

At the end of June 2022, there were 2 525 465 active names in the .pl domain registry, by 6 688 fewer than at the end of the first quarter. On the other hand, an increase (by 32%) in the number of .pl domain names maintained for registrants based in Ukraine was recorded.

The share of functional and regional domains in new registrations increased in the second quarter - the percentage of registrations in functional domains increased to 13.15 % and in regional domains to 3.77 %.
