Additional security in the .pl domain Registry

It is to be informed that the .pl domain Registry has implemented additional security of procedural nature, an automated transfer. The transfer involves moving all domain names, handled by a particular registrar, to other registrar. The procedure may be applied only during termination of registrar’s cooperation with the Registry and requires both registrars to obtain appropriate consents from registrants. A registrant will be additionally informed about the transfer by the Registry via e-mail. The automated transfer also applies to options handled by a registrar terminating the cooperation with the Registry.

The implemented solution has been designed to strengthen the security of registrants due to providing continual service of .pl domain names in in the event of an emergency situation. Transferring the domain names within the frames of the automated transfer does not impact the registrant’s rights, including the right to a standard transfer to a selected registrar cooperating with NASK, both before and after the automated transfer.

More information on the process of a domain service transfer can be found here.
