.pl domain name is the Internet country code top-level domain which Registry is NASK. It is possible to register .pl domain names, as functional and regional domains managed by NASK, direct with NASK or through one of our Registrars. The conditions of providing services by the NASK set out Domain Names Regulations as of 18 December 2006.
The first right to register a domain name if the current subscriber cancels their registration and is available. The agreement is reached for three years only through one of our Registrars. IDN is a multilingual domain name which is represented by national (diacritical) characters typical for particular language, for instance różyczka.dns.pl (polish script). IDN consists of two forms: the Unicode form (represented by characters derived from the Unicode character repertoire) e.g. różyczka.dns.pl and the form encoded, by means of special algorithm (Punycode, RFC 3492), into ASCII characters e.g. xn--ryczka-bxa01i.dns.pl (see the picture). ASCII form (also known as ACE form - ACE stands for ASCII Compatible Encoding) is stored in DNS resources (e.g. in configuration files of DNS servers).
IPv6 is the latest version of Internet Protocol. NASK allows registering of .pl domain names with an indication to the IPv6 address. Delegation of the domain name to an IPv6 address is possible only through Registrars offering this service.
