How to change DNS servers for domain name serviced by NASK?
If a domain name subscriber requests change of the DNS servers he/she shall submit an application for change of the DNS servers, which is available at www.dns.pl. The printed application, that includes the legible signature of subscriber's representative and company seal (if advisable) shall be delivered to NASK via fax no.: +48 22 380 83 01, or by post to the address: NASK, ul. Wąwozowa 18, 02-796 Warszawa or sent via e-mail to info@dns.pl within seven days from the date the electronic application was submitted on-line. NOTE! NASK shall verify the received application within 5 workdays. The verification period starts from the date when NASK receives the printed and signed application with the valid ID ticket via fax or by post. [top]

Only current Registrar who services the domain name can change the DNS servers in accordance with Registrar's procedure. Please check WHOIS database to receive the information which Registrar is authorized to change the DNS servers for the given domain name. [top]

What data in the application for change of DNS servers is required?
During the application for change of the DNS servers is being submitted, following data is required: a) Subscriber's data (address, VAT(if applies), phone number, e-mail address) b) names of the new DNS servers and the respective IP numbers, if applicable (in case the new DNS servers are registered) NOTE! What kind of messages may appear while the electronic application is being submitted?
Top-level domain not supported by NASK! - name of the domain name belongs to zone not supported by NASK, e.g. .com, .art.pl.
Incorrect domain name! - the domain name contains improper letters. The said name may exclusively consist of the letters of Latin alphabet, digits and "-" sign (minus). The "-" (minus) sign can be placed neither at the beginning of a domain name, nor at the end thereof, nor on the 3rd and 4th position simultaneously (with the exception of domain names with the "xn--" prefix). The name at each domain level may contain up to 63 characters. It does not matter if capital or small letters in the domain name are used.
Incorrect DNS server! - the chosen server is not the DNS server.
Incorrect answer from name server ... ! - while the electronic application for change of DNS is being submitted the chosen DNS server was not configured correctly. First record of the Answer Section of the DNS server's response is not the SOA record. Please contact new Technical Supervisor if this situation emerges.
Cannot connect to name server! - while the electronic application for change DNS is being submitted, the chosen DNS server is not reachable from the server nazgul.nask.waw.pl. Submitting a request to change the DNS servers is impossible. Please contact new Technical Supervisor if this situation emerges.
DNS does not exist! - while the electronic application for change of DNS is being submitted, the chosen DNS server is not reachable in DNS (has no record A configured).
Name server does not support given domain(s)! - while the electronic application for change of DNS is being submitted, the chosen DNS server does not support the given domain name or this DNS service of the chosen DNS server is unreachable from server nazgul.nask.waw.pl . Our script checks if the specified name servers have the SOA record for a given domain name. [top]
Can more than one domain name delegation be changed based on one application form?
Yes, up to ten domain names may be specified on one application. Following domain names shall be filled in the electronic application, separated by commas. [top]
Is the sequence of DNS servers, listed in the application, relevant?
No, the sequence of DNS servers listed in the application for change of the DNS servers or later, in delegation of the domain name, after application for change of the DNS servers is accepted, has no influence on functioning of the domain name. [top]
What shall be done when the subscriber's data has been changed?
When the subscriber's address details have been changed and are inconsistent with NASK database (please check the current subscriber's data in WHOIS database), the application for change of the DNS servers shall be delivered with the application for update of the domain name subscriber's data. The update application shall include: the legible signature of the subscriber's representative, company seal (if advisable) and the ID number of the application for change of the DNS servers. [top]
How to check if the application for change of the DNS was accepted?
The confirmation of change of the DNS servers is sent to contact e-mail address given in the application for change of the DNS servers right after the application is accepted. Also to check the current delegation of the domain name, generally available software tools or the WHOIS database at www.dns.pl may be used. [top]
NASK refuses to change the DNS servers in the case the application includes incomplete or false data.
